Northside Center for Child Development Art Benefit and Cocktail Reception April 6, 2009

Hello Friends!

As many of you know, I sit on the Board of the Northside Center for Child Development. I’m writing to inform you of a special event for Northside. We are hosting our first Art Benefit and Cocktail Reception! The date of the event is Monday, April 6, 2009 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm and it will be held at the hip Norwood Club – 241 W. 14th Street (Between 7th & 8th Avenues). We have secured a number of extraordinary works from artists including Ann Tanksley, Stephanie Chisholm, Robert Fullilove, Jim Littles, Tajh Rust and many more!
Northside was founded in 1946 by pioneering psychologists Dr. Kenneth Clark and Dr. Mamie Phipps Clark, whose groundbreaking research exposed the harmful effects of racial segregation on the intellectual and emotional growth of children and eventually served as testimony in the landmark Supreme Court decision (Brown vs. Board of Education) to end segregation in public schools.
We encourage you to come out and support Northside at what promises to be a wonderful evening of WINE, FOOD and FABULOUS ART!
