Two hundred years ago, Lewis and Clark traveled through this region and found an abundance of life rivaling the African savannah. Millions of bison and pronghorn elk grazed en endless sea of grass, watched by prairie wolves and other predators in the distance while immense flocks of birds colored the sky.
Today, with less than 2% of the region’s 180 million acres managed for wildlife conservation, the Northern Great Plains is one of the least protected places on Earth. There is, however, an opportunity to restore and conserve this remarkable landscape and the wildlife that calls it home.
40% of all sales of Michael Forsberg’s artwork will be donated to WWF.
