Normandie Wilson is a musician and painter from West Virginia, USA. She grew up listening to 1960's music (Burt Bacharach, the Beach Boys, Motown) and watching birds with her grandma. She delights in playing as many different instruments as possible, usually sticking with piano, percussion and trumpet. Normandie hears songs in dreams and is sometimes able to wake up and catch them. Her music is quirky and cute, and doesn't usually follow traditional structures (sort of like Normandie.)
She has been a member of San Diego indie-pop collective Red Pony Clock since 2006, making sporadic appearances on "God Made Dirt" and on RPC tours, which have rapidly become infamous for [[CENSORED]].
In 2007, Normandie released two independent DIY EPs: "Glitter Patter," a collection of some of her earliest songs written in New York, and "Healing Arts for Broken Hearts," Both EPs featured Normandie's instrumental pop creations and were eventually combined onto one record and re-released online only as "Early Birds: Songs From 2007."
