Norfolk History Museum Series: Rewriting History: Bringing Massive Resistance to Life at the Wells January 14, 2009

Chris Hanna, artistic director at the Virginia Stage Company, will discuss the challenges encountered in writing his play about the 1958-1959 Norfolk Public Schools’ closing, Line in the Sand. The historical playwright will highlight the conflicts that existed between public record, personal memory, and theatrical imagination.
