Non Stop Bhangra Presents: Family Vibes--a night of bhangra and sufi music!
Non Stop Bhangra brings another episode of "Family Vibes" to the East Bay. This month will be an Indian massive month mixing up Bhangra and classical Sufi music.
Our Featured guest this month is Ji (pronounced “gee”), a Sufi-Indian Dance rock/funk collective, featuring the reknowned Pakistan-born singer Sukhawat Ali Khan plus guitarist/bassist Anastasi Mavrides, drummer Peter Warren with special guest, Tabla and Dhol player, Gurdeep Hira. JI’s live show is an exciting and spirit-lifting event. The music builds from deep chanting to high-energy, funky bhangra-style beats that gets audiences dancing and chanting as one.
Non Stop Bhangra will continue the energy with killer beats by the one and only DJ Jimmy Love and featured performances by Dholrhythms Dance Company.
