101 1 The Juvenile Who Engages in Sexual Misconduct: Ron Mervis
This training session will cover the current clinical and traditional definitions of a Ajuvenile sex offender.@ It will also review current national and regional statistics and themes.

104 1 Contributors to Sexually Abusive Behavior: Amy Oxman
This training session will review the theory and practice for individual contributors to sexually abusive behavior. General areas of discussion will include, but are not limited to, child abuse, (i.e. physical, sexual, emotional, and neglect), physiological, biological, systemic, and social, predispositions, and cultural influences.

105 1.75 Dynamics in Families of Sexually Abusive Youth: Denzil Grimshaw
This training session will introduce the theory and practice of dynamics in families of sexually abusive youth and how through various treatment modalities families can heal. The engagement of families in the program and therapeutic setting and the concepts of Aapology, clarification, and reunification will be addressed in general.

108 2 Short and Long Term Effects of Sexual Abuse: Lanice Hollingsworth
This training session will cover the physical, psychological, and emotional effects of abuse. The impact on healthy development and attachment will also be discussed.

111 .5 Reporting Laws for the State of Utah: Rob Neill
This training session will review the legal requirements to report abuse as well as discuss the concept of role confusion (forensic role vs. treatment, etc.)

113 .75 A Comprehensive Continuum of Services: Rob Butters
This training session will provide an overview of the current NOJOS Protocols and Standards Manual while highlighting the focus of each level of care.

114 1.5 Strategies for Assessment: Jennifer Millar-Bevan
This training session will highlight the different types of nationally recognized juvenile risk assessment tools used to determine risk will be discussed. Emphasis on on-going risk assessment while in treatment along with areas of concern or needed awareness will also be explored.

115 1 Treatment Modalities: DeLynn Lamb
This course will discuss the current literature and best practice standards regarding effective treatment modalities in promoting change with youth who have engaged in sexually abusive behavior.

117 1.5 Safety and Supervision in Programs and Proctor Care: Rick Rawlins
This training session will highlight the best practice standards for providing safety and supervision to youth who have engaged in sexually abusive behavior.

122 1 Factors That Impact Change and Self Care Brent Judd
This training session will identify recognized qualities of effective adult treatment providers who are working with youth as well as highlight strategies to prevent burn-out, counter-transference, and good mental health of the treatment provider.

*This training curriculum provides 12 hours of juvenile sex-offense specific treatment training
