Celebrate Coney Island's opening day with Coney Island USA by making a lot of noise! Noisefest is our contribution to the opening day festivities in Coney Island and regularly features the kinds of street 'noise' that would have made Robert Moses furious!

2PM - GARY LUCAS AT THE FREAK BAR, DEBUT OF THE SEAWEED MUSIC SERIES, FREE!
A world class guitar hero, a Grammy-nominated songwriter and composer, an international recording artist with over 20 acclaimed solo albums to date, and a soundtrack composer for film and television, Gary Lucas is on the move in 2012.

3PM - NICK YULMAN AT THE CONEY ISLAND MUSEUM

Nick Yulman and his mechanical orchestra will perform original scores for silent films by comedian and early stop-motion pioneer Charlie Bowers, accompanied by a robotic orchestra of homemade mechanical instruments.

Airport Seven - Three veterans of the 80’s and 90’s L.E.S. music scene - Airport Seven defies definition. Featuring Steve DiBenedetto – drums, Kevin Jones – guitar, John Terhorst – bass.

From straight Jazz and Country to nascent weirdo Indie Rock and major label Alternative, they’ve seen it some and done it somewhat. New for 2012, the shame and bristling resentment McLoud feels is accompanied by a quiet contentment and joy. Attained by reaching down into their collective gullet and chewing on the gristle previously left to fester in their soul hole, the resultant sound created by Matt Hunter (bass), Roger Murdock (drums), and Dave Rick (guitar) is a product of …it’s a product. A typical McLoud gig is forty-four minutes of blood, sweat and fears, wherein they’ve pulled out a plumb of maybe three to seven minutes, of steamy, sexy, sloppy and spontaneous transcendence.
