Direct marketing is a cornerstone of the thriving culture of local food and agriculture in Vermont. This one-day conference offers new and experienced farmers' market coordinators and vendors, CSA farmers and organizers, and farm stand operators a wealth of learning and net- working opportunities to grow their direct-to-consumer sales.
The 2012 Conference features keynote speakers Ellen Kahler and Jean Hamilton, the Vermont Farmers' Market Association (VTFMA) annual meeting, and nineteen workshops for farmers and farmers' market managers. You can view all the workshops and presenters by clicking here.
Each farmers' market is invited to send a representative to the conference, and to attend and vote at the annual meeting of the VTFMA, held at the conference. The market can invite anyone to be their representative, and they will be admitted to the conference for free.
There is limited space available for organizations that work with direct marketers to table at the conference. Please contact Erin at erin@nofavt.org by January 4 to find out more details.
Registration fees are $30 for NOFA members and $35 for non-members; this includes locally-sourced lunch and refreshments. Walk-ins are welcome; however, we cannot guarantee lunch for those who do not register by January 4th.
