On Saturday, July 28, 2012, the Young Latino Network will be hosting its annual fundraiser, Noche De Guayabera. The guayabera is a traditional Latin American garment commonly worn by countrymen (Campesinos), because of its coolness and its ability to fight off the heat of the tropics.

Noche De Guayabera is the opportunity for all Latinos and our friends to come together and celebrate our rich cultural heritage through food, music, and fun.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Young Latino Network and we only continue to get better with age! We want to use this as an opportunity to thank and celebrate all who have given their time to help grow this organization. Noche De Guayabera will allow us the opportunity to reunite with past board members, engage with present membership, and introduce future leaders.
As we continue with our mission, “To empower the Latino community through leadership development and civic engagement”, we have placed a strong emphasis on supporting our initiatives through the creation of a scholarship fund.
The YLN Fund will provide scholarships for members looking for leadership development opportunities through organizations like Cleveland Bridge Builders, Lead Diversity, Neighborhood Leadership Development Program, United States Hispanic Leadership Institute, and more. We want to help support these efforts and encourage our community to reach further heights, by also providing scholarships for fees associated with higher learning exams such as the GMAT, LSAT, GRE, or certification program application fees.
The choice of venue for this year is the Ariel International Center, which is a historic 68,000 square foot building, located on 3 acres, overseeing Lake Erie and the Cleveland skyline. It is expected to serve as a catalytic one-stop center for International business development and International events in Northeast Ohio, celebrating the regions global diversity and contributing to the economic development of the region. A growing engine of business located in the opportunity corridor of mid-town, which we want to share with the Latino Community.
So please, mark your calendar, tell your friends, and we look forward to celebrating our 10th Anniversary with you!
