ABOUT THOMAS:

Originally from Cambridge, Bullock got his start in the late 80s in the U.K. with the Tonka crew alongside DJ Harvey. Bullock was known for his enthusiastic and unpredictable late night sets. At this time Thomas produced downtempo music as Mammal. He also made a psychedelic album under the name Supergroup with Charles Uzzell Edwards.

Thomas set sail for the United States in the early 90's, hooking up with fellow dj travellers Jeno, Garth & Markie to become the one quarter of San Francisco's now infamous Wicked Sound System. Wicked along with it's lawless full moon parties, and purple turbo sound system is widely credited with having revived the city's dance music scene, cementing it's reputation as the red-headed step child of disco. Thomas toured the U.S. several times with Wicked in the mid/late 90's, and well as releasing a much loved e.p under the Mirror Boys moniker on Wicked's sister label Grayhound Records.

In 1996 Thomas moved to NYC and started A.R.E. Weapons, which pioneered the electroclash, noise rock sound (made somewhat famous in popular press due to the involvement of Paul, Chloe Sevigny's brother). He left the group a few years later to start his current projects: the Rub N Tug parties and productions, the infamous balearic rock band with Harvey called Map of Africa, a barnyard punk project called Bobbie Marie, and a packed schedule of Dj'ing worldwide. Thomas's most recent project includes remixes for the cult group A Mountain of One and the rumored forthcoming followup album, to Map of Africa's original debut.
