Half Brother is a punk/alternative rock band formed in the summer of 2009. They're based around the northern Virginia area. They write their own music, play shows, and record. They've recorded two full length albums at Hit and Run Studios produced by Steve Carr, recorded a few demos in the basement and are currently working on a third album which they think is the best stuff they've written.

Ethan Chaney, Daniel Morris, and Django Szilagi are the three members of the Jefferson Davis Highway String Band. Starting as a summer job playing on the streets of Old Town in Alexandria, the boys focused their many years of classically trained musicianship into a way to stay out of trouble while playing music for the public. The group has a wide range of sounds, ranging from old time fiddle music to modern indie folk. With major influences ranging from Johnny Cash to Old Crow Medicine Show, the trio finds a sound of old time bluegrass with the mix of a youthful twist. Consisting of fiddles, mandolins, guitars, and banjos, their is a clear sense of southern influence. Still seniors in high-school, these boys give their best.
