NKFI Gift of Life Walk & Family Health Fair June 27, 2010

It’s time for Chicagoans to lace up their walking shoes, as the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois (NKFI) hosts its annual Gift of Life Walk & Family Health Fair this June 27, 2010 at 9 a.m. beginning on the Soldier Field Great Lawn. Participants are invited to come out for a fun-filled day of live entertainment, refreshments, healthy living tips and a leisurely three-mile walk along beautiful Lake Michigan. An estimated 1,200 walkers will revel in the camaraderie and show their support, one step at a time. The walk is free, and those participants who raise $50 or more for the NKFI will receive a t-shirt. Proceeds will help the NKFI raise funds for the KidneyMobile® and free early kidney disease detection screenings.
