In response to a world filled with fear and doubt, Clay and Paper Theatre presents the eighth annual Night of Dread on Saturday, October 27th in and around Toronto's Dufferin Grove Park.
Night of Dread is an opportunity to parade our private and collective fears through the darkened streets of the Bloor/Dufferin/College community. The procession returns to Dufferin Grove Park for an evening of ceremonial festivities that compel us to call on, mock and banish the fears that unite and divide us in these times of terror. It is an evening of pageantry, music and masquerade incorporating towering puppets, stilt dancers and fearful masks in a daring and demonic community parade.
Assemble at 3:00 p.m. The parade leaves at 5:45 and will travel from Dufferin Grove Park, north along Dufferin to Croatia St., west on Croatia to Brock, north on Brock to Bloor, east on Bloor to Ossington, south on Ossington to Dewson, west on Dewson to Havelock, then north and into the park. Festivities will continue from 7:30pm until the spirits of the dead are satisfied!Night of Dread is a Pay-What-You-Can Event. Suggested donation of ten dollars. Dress Code: black and white and remember to dress for the weather!
