Nietzsches 'Beyond Good and Evil: Prelude to a Philosophy of the Future' is the work in which he most fully elaborates the turn from moral consciousness to the affirmation of Life which he proposes is beyond good and evil. This course is an in-depth reading of this monumental work. With wit and energy, Nietzsche turns from his critique of society to a celebration of the free spirits and what is noble, but one must be cautious because whoever battles monsters should take care not to become a monster too, for if you stare long enough into the abyss, the abyss stares back into you."
