New Hampshire has never had a fun drum event geared specifically for drummers. The NH Drum Festival, a non-profit organization, has answered the call and is organizing a series of events called “NH Drum Festival’s Drum Fun”. The inaugural event will be held at Murphy’s Taproom in Manchester, NH on April 21, 2012 starting at 6pm.
Metal, Jazz, Funk, R&B - all genres are welcome! Men and women drummers wanted! Whether you play acoustic, electronic, marching, African or other ethnic-percussive drums, this event is for you!
• Sign up and Register for $10
• Play a drum solo for 5-8 minutes
• prizes will be awarded
• Meet new people and have a great new experience listening to drums!
The top 3 participants will be judged on Originality, Technique and Musicianship.
1st Place winner will receive the Cash Pot of all participants…more drummers sign up equals more money for winner! 2nd Place winner will receive a TAMA Iron Cobra Double Bass Pedal and 3rd Place winner will receive five 14” Aquarian Snare Drum heads.
NH Drum Festival is a local Non-Profit Organization founded by Tom Mungovan in 2009. “We want all who attend one of our events to experience, learn and appreciate the many different types of drums available, and the many different types of drummers that play them”. NH Drum Festival is a celebration and cultural awareness for all things related to drums, drummers and drumming.
