In "The Ashen Rainbow: Essays on the Arts and the Holocaust", Ori Z. Soltes explores the various and often surprising ways in which creative artists have responded to the Holocaust through subjects that range from the music of Terezin to the Argentine émigré painter Peter Zvi Malkin to Schindler’s List. An art historian and scholar of religion, Soltes has curated over 80 exhibitions for the B’nai B’rith National Jewish Museum. He currently lectures at Georgetown University and is a frequent lecturer in the National Programs of the Smithsonian Institution.
