Adam and Luke have been in a committed relationship for five years despite their wildly different religious beliefs. Adam is a forty-something hypochondriac who is unsure of everything -- everything except Luke. Luke is a twenty-something up-and-coming actor who is sure of everything -- especially his devotion to God and being a Christian. When a tragic event sends Luke into a coma, Adam, and Luke's family and friends, are forced to examine their own faith and beliefs by turning to each other. In the complicated world of relationships, 'Next Fall' explores, with humor and insight, issues of faith, gay partnership, families and what it means to love in a world that constantly tries to define who we are.
