Newts on Parade February 20, 2010

The rains bring newts and salamanders out of hiding and on parade. We'll follow their movements along Shade Creek trail to their favorite courting and mating spots in Five Canyons. Meet our naturalist at the merging point of Deer and Shade Creek trails off Private Rec. Road in Castro Valley. Wear your rain hat and hiking shoes for this 2.5 mile excursion.
