Newk's Express Cafe Grand Opening Celebration February 16, 2012

Newk’s Express Café, a fast-casual restaurant offering a variety of made-to-order choices including fresh-tossed salads, oven-baked sandwiches, California-style pizzas, made-from-scratch soups and homemade cakes baked by Newk’s Bakery Company, is celebrating the grand opening of its first Grand Rapids location Thursday, Feb. 16. The following events will occur throughout the day:
• A ceremonial ribbon cutting will take place at 11 a.m.
• Newk’s will serve a few light samples of their soups and sandwiches for tasting.
• Attendees will receive a goodie bag and will be entered in a raffle to win a catered lunch from Newk’s valued at $120.
• Chris Newcomb, co-founder, president and CEO of Newk’s Express Café, will be at the event. Newcomb created Newk’s with Don Newcomb and Debra Bryson and the first restaurant opened in 2004.
