Newburyport ' s Fall Harvest Festival October 12, 2008

Newburyport ' s Fall Harvest Festival, celebrating 34 years as the kick-off to Autumn in Newburyport! There will be many festive and fun things to do – all in the beautiful setting that is historic downtown Newburyport - the brick buildings and walkways, the stunning waterfront, and so many unique shops, restaurants, inns, museums and galleries to visit.

The festival will feature talented craft vendors offering all handmade crafts and artwork, great local food vendors, live music, some of our favorite buskers (street performers) will be in attendance, and on Sunday, Kids Korner located on Pleasant Street will include live children’s entertainment, face painting, and a very popular Teddy Bear Parade.

And don't forget about the traditional Scarecrow Contest on Sunday sponsored by The Newburyport Five Cents Saving Bank – the whole community is invite to take part! These imaginative scarecrows are displayed throughout the Market Square area adding to the wonderful festive feel of this great fall event in Newburyport.
