After the Yanks would win Game 5 in a 13-1 route, Hank Bauer's three run triple in the sixth helped put the Giants away and clinch the Yanks third straight World Series. 1951 would also end up being a year of transition of the Bronx Bombers who saw a rookie Mickey Mantle make his debut and Joe DiMaggio suddenly retired after the season.
