New York Underground Comedy Festival All-Stars October 16, 2009

From its humble beginnings at the West Bank Café Theater in October 2003, The NYC Underground Comedy Festival has evolved into an international comedy attraction. Having featured such luminaries as Chris Rock alongside Reece Waters, the 2008 Emerging Comics Competition winner, this industry-acclaimed favorite has continually showcased established and emerging voices from the U.S. and abroad. This year, the festival makes its debut at the BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center with the New York Underground Comedy Festival All-Stars event on October 16, followed by a different and equally hysterical line-up of comedians on Saturday, October 17 at 8pm for $25 and $15 for seniors/students. Capping off the festival with the “Best of the Fest” in a majestic theater setting, a range of comedic talents will grace the stage each evening for a rousing series of 10-15 minute stand-up presentations. Featured comics include Wayne Federman, Head Writer of the Jimmy Fallon Show, Def Comedy Jam’s Leighann Lord, John Fugelsang, former host of America's Funniest Home Videos and the return of Reese Waters, currently seen on Comedy Central’s Michael and Michael Have Issues. Come enjoy a weekend extravaganza of rip-roaring live comedy and support Comedy Fights Cancer and the Pati Vitale Fund, just two of the charities the NYUCF supports annually.
