813 River Road
New Jersey, New York

Join Meet Market Adventures and other singles on this Village walking tour of speakeasies, pubs and taverns. We will turn back the hands of time as we walk the streets of Greenwich Village and see all the history associated with the establishments that live on today. Come out and experience a 1920's speakeasy that still has its secret exits, which was frequented by Ernest Hemingway and F. Scott Fitzgerald. Plus, we will pay our respects to Dylan Thomas, author of a Child's Christmas in Wales, who haunts New York's oldest tavern till this very day. In between our stops of refreshments, we will walk along sites that show historic Christmas figures including Clement Clark Moore, who penned 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. And last but not least, we will end our tour at a favorite venue of John Lennon, whose memory we will toast on the 26th anniversary of his death.
