New York Philharmonic: Opening Night Gala September 16, 2009

The Alan Gilbert era begins in historic fashion with a brand-new, never-before-heard overture written especially for the occasion by Composer-in-Residence Magnus Lindberg. The world-renowned Renee Fleming will then sing exotic Messiaen and the evening will conclude with Berlioz's spectacular orchestra showpiece.
