Come celebrate 2009 at the New Year's Eve Brooklyn Salsa Party! Dance into the New Year with all of your friends and a friendly and upscale crowd at Le Grand Dakar at 285 Grand Ave. in Clinton Hill Brooklyn. Buy your tickets early and save $. Musicians Ronnie Roc and Haileejaa are confirmed for the New Year's party and will be accenting the DJ salsa music with live congas & timbales. Ronnie and Haileejaa have been performing not only at the Brooklyn Salsa Party! but at many salsa events throughout Brooklyn. They add excitement and energy to the salsa party. You won't want to miss their live performance on New Year's Eve!

Held in the neighborhoods of Clinton Hill, Park Slope, Prospect Heights and Fort Greene, the Brooklyn Salsa Party! is an established local salsa event with live drummers and classic salsa DJ.

Started on March 8 2008, Brooklyn Salsa Party! is a chill and relaxed Brooklyn Salsa/Mambo/On2 dance event & Latin Night in the Brooklyn neighborhoods of Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Clinton Hill and Fort Greene. This is an On2 New York Style Mambo & Salsa dance event with DJ Music (Salsa, Batchata & Merengue Latin mix) as well as live West-African & Afro-Cuban drummers.

We offer a free beginner’s salsa class to start the party and we welcome absolute beginners as well as advanced salsa & mambo dancers. The music is 75% Classic Salsa Dura, 15% Cha Cha and 10% Bachata, Merengue & Reggaeton.

Take the C (also can transfer from A) train to Clinton-Washington Aves stop then walk north on Washington Ave to Lafayette, turn right then walk over to Grand Ave and take a right turn and Le Grand Dakar is on the left. You can also take the G train to Clinton-Washington Aves then take the B38 bus to Grand Ave or walk east on Lafayette Ave and turn right on Grand Ave. Alternatively you can take the 2, 3, 4, 5, B, Q, D, M, N, R, W or Long Island RR trains to the Atlantic Avenue / Pacific Street Station and catch a quick-cheap cab to 285 Grand Ave between Lafayette & Clifton Place. Buses that will get you there are the B38, B44, B48 or B52. Plenty of other bus routes as well in the area. Brooklyn Salsa Party! is in Brooklyn centrally located to Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Clinton Hill and Fort Greene neighborhoods.
