The world premiere concert performance of Finnish composer Jukka Tiensuu’s Violin Concerto, featuring renowned Grammy Award nominated violinist, Cho-Liang Lin, accompanied by the sixteen-member New Paths Ensemble, conducted by David Alan Miller, will take place on Thursday, June 21st at 8 PM at the Elebash Recital Hall (365 Fifth Avenue at 34th St). The Cassatt String Quartet will start off the evening at 6 PM, performing the world and American premieres of quartets by composers from Norway and Sweden. There will be a dinner break from 7 to 8 PM.
Cho-Liang Lin has played with the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and orchestras around the world.
New Paths in Music is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to presenting the works of living foreign composers who have never, or rarely, been presented in the United States.
