A fundraising event to support the work of New Orleans: A Labor of Love, a non-profit social media project committed to recruiting volunteers and resources to rebuild the Gulf Coast.
New Orleans: A Labor of Love Executive Director Katina Parker will give a tour of the newly re-launched www.nolaboroflove.org social networking site, which allows members to organize and share resources to support rebuilding the Gulf Coast while celebrating the region’s culture and history. Parker will also showcase a companion Facebook application that allows users to donate their status to support Gulf Coast relief and sign the petition to Congress: “It’s Been Four Years! Rebuild New Orleans Now!”
cost: $25 is the minimum suggested tax-deductible donation; person who brings the most donors & highest donor will receive a bottle of wine + add’l door prizes.
