This month’s featured reader: Karrie L. Waarala tells stories. By starlight or the neon flash of road signs, in faded denim whispers or with tigers springing from her throat. They are distinctly hers, yet you’d swear they were your own. She and her poetry have zigzagged across Michigan for the past decade, representing various cities at several national and world poetry slam competitions. She regularly shares her insight and inspiration with students and educators at schools, libraries, colleges, and arts organizations all over her home state.
