TIEMPO DEL BAILE FLAMENCO – TIME TO DANCE FLAMENCO!
You are invited to join us at Los Angeles City College for beautiful NEW Flamenco Dance Classes! LACC Community FLAMENCO DANCE classes are located on campus at 855 N. Vermont Avenue, Women's Gymnasium Rm. 206 (Dance Studio) Los Angeles, CA 90029.
Enrollment is now open for the FALL 2012 session, October 28-December 2 (no class during the Thanksgiving Holiday, Nov. 25).

Flamenco classes meet on Sundays, October 28-December 2, 2012:
Section 1. 1:30-3pm - BEGINNING/INTRODUCTION to FLAMENCO - Learn all basic flamenco techniques and steps, footwork, patterns, beautiful arm and hand gestures, turns, and footwork in this essential class. Learn the basics for two traditional flamenco dances - Tangos Gitanos and Rumba Flamenca.
Section 2. 3:00-4pm - INTERMEDIATE FLAMENCO - Learn complex patterns, footwork, turns, marking/choreographic steps and more in this exciting class. All students with at least 6 months-1 year of flamenco training are eligible to enroll. Learn the Alegrías de Cádiz, a wonderful dance from southern Spain, including footwork, rhythm, palmas, turns, marking steps, beautiful arms, and dance sequencing, including: Entrada (entrance), llamada (opening cues), letra (song verse/beautiful dance sequences), silencio (lyrical dance sequence), castellana (cue for footwork), escobillas (footwork sequences), and the finale dance, Bulerias de Cádiz.
FEES:
$60 per section + $15 per section for the guitarist's fee = $75 total
You may enroll the first day of class with cash or a check made out to LACC
