The 2011 Greater New Bedford Summerfest Folk Music and Arts Festival will feature the best in contemporary, traditional and Celtic folk music on seven stages on July 2-3 in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Featured among the nearly fifty musical acts are Cheryl Wheeler, Ellis Paul, Eliza Gilkyson, John Gorka, Antje Duvekot, Vishten, The Outside Track, David Jacobs-Strain, Diana Jones, NewFound Road, Le Vent du Nord, Beppe Gambetta, Jez Lowe and Steve Tilston. The festival also features a high quality crafts show with over ninety juried, handmade crafts for sale at affordable prices. Food will also be available including the justifiably world famous New Bedford scallops. Since Summerfest is a family festival, a children activity area will also be featured. Festival hours are Saturday and Sunday from 11:00am to 9:00pm at $20 a day or $25 for the entire weekend.
