Neo Soul SPOKEN WORD & MUSIC OPEN MIC June 22, 2009

Escondido, CA June 22, 2009 -- PoeticWorks and The Metaphor Café is proud to announce Neo-Soul Mondays at the Metaphor Café. Quickly growing in popularity, several nationally renowned poets and musicians can be found performing at Neo-Soul Mondays. Dave Booda, EMichele Paul, Elaine Faye, Gil SOTU, and Real J. Wallace, to name a few, are just a few poets and musicians that have participated in the monthly open mic. This venue is not your typical coffee house poetry. The poets and musicians who perform here on a
monthly basis are often compared with some of the most famous spoken word artists of our time.

Neo-Soul Mondays is more than a poetry reading, it is a monthly showcase and open mic of some of the most talented and innovative poets and musicians on
the scene today. It is sponsored by The Metaphor Café and hosted by Emichele, Founder/President of PoeticWorks.Com. It is a totally free event
open to the public and streamed live world wide via the internet. Open Mic signups begin at 8:30 pm and the featured show promptly begins at 9pm. Each
month, Neo Soul Monday's features nationally and internationally renowned artists who have made a huge impact on the Spoken Word and arts scene. Come
