A founding member of the Royal Art Lodge (the defunct drawing collective based in Winnipeg), Neil Farber will return to the city for Slugging, his third exhibition at the Edward Thorpe Gallery and his first solo show in New York. Farber has produced a series of new, large-scale, multi-panel works. In these seductively rendered paintings, Farber develops his visual language and technical abilities. The artist has recently exhibited individually at the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art in Toronto, Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, and the Center for Contemporary Art in New Orleans.
