14th Street hot spot Bar Pilar is hosting a RAMMY Voting Party on 4/28. In celebration of being nominated for “Neighborhood Gathering Place,” the restaurant will be offering food and drink specials as well as the return of the famous photo booth! Those who come and vote will be given special “I Voted” stickers that are sure to be the envy of foodies all over town.

Bar Pilar is offering $5 select cocktails and small plates. The specials include the Death in the Afternoon a combination Pernod Absinthe and Cava (this drink, named after Hemingway’s metaphysical treatise on bullfighting, was reportedly invented by Hemingway with “some Brits after a spot of nautical unpleasantness.”); the Pimms Cup made with Pimms Cup No.1, mint, orange, cucumber, house made ginger syrup, soda water; and the Black Derby a mix of Rittenhouse 100 Rye Whiskey, honey, grapefruit juice, St. Elizabeth’s Allspice Dram. Small plates will include merguez with smoked pork and white beans and pan fried calves brains with caper brown butter.

RAMMY voting officially opens at 12:01 a.m. on 4/28, and votes can be cast on washingtoncitypaper.com through 11:59 p.m. on 5/11. One vote is permitted in each category per individual email address.
