Just as the polls opened on November 5, 1872, Susan B. Anthony arrived and filled out her "ticket" for the various candidates. After arguing that she was entitled under the 14th Amendment to cast a ballot, Anthony was arrested and charged with a Federal crime. Law professor N.E.H. Hull discusses her book 'The Woman Who Dared to Vote,' which chronicles the trial and its aftermath to the eventual passage of the 19th Amendment. A book signing follows the program.
