Portland, OR 05/23/09 – “NECTAR” was created as a platform to showcase West Coast female DJ's and producers, while giving inspiration to young aspiring women. Both J.Phlip (SF) and Forest Green (SF) are on an upward trajectory in the international techno scene. Every local DJ participating in this event has been a leader in their community, taking a dream and turning it into a reality. J.Phlip, the newest dirtybird edition, has a knack for making quirky, funky music that appeals to just about anybody on a given dance floor. Combine that with an exceptional NW lineup of awe inspiring female talent and you've got yourself a show that should not be missed.

NECTAR is Saturday May 23rd, 2009, from 9PM to 5AM. It will be taking place in the heart of Downtown Portland at The 2410, 2410 N Mississippi. The night will feature extended sets from Forest Green, the return of Portland's favorite Dirtybird; J.Phlip, and a showcase of some of the most exceptional female talent the west coast has to offer. “Even while exploring new angles, Dirtybird continues filtering the deep rumble, atmospherics, and technical precision of ‘90’s drum ‘n’ bass through tech-house’s depths, adding mischief and bass bombs to the 4/4 beat,” describes Tony Ware of the SF Weekly.
