Nazareth College’s Office of Multicultural Affairs has an exciting list of events planned to celebrate Constitution Day. All of the events are free and open to the public and take place on the Nazareth College campus. Nazareth College is located at 4245 East Avenue, Rochester, N.Y. 14618.

Student Politics, Citizenship and Engagement – A Discussion led by Assemblyman Joseph D. Morelle and Tad Mack, Wednesday, September 14, 1 p.m., Otto A. Shults Center Forum

With the abundant supply of information coming from varying sources today, how do we figure out what is accurate information? Why is it important for students to be engaged, whether it be in the community, state-wide, nation-wide, or even world-wide? What affect does engagement and involvement have in our daily lives? Please join Assemblyman Joseph D. Morelle and Tad Mack for an informative and interactive discussion on the crucial need for our generation to become informed and active citizens.

Voter registration will be facilitated by The League of Women Voters. Students will also be able to apply to become election inspectors through the Monroe County Election Fellows program.

AKWAABA Performs, Wednesday, September 14, 4:30 p.m., Otto A. Shults Center Forum
AKWAABA’s living history presenters are Rochester residents who are accomplished educators, social workers and healthcare professionals. Many have extended their love of history by researching their families’ genealogies and teaching the skill to others. Some are professional storytellers. All are involved in numerous community organizations. They come together out of their desire to accurately tell the story of the Underground Railroad.
