From kitschy seashell souvenirs and Ukranian Easter egg collections, to modernist seed art, experts and amateurs have long created arts and crafts from nature's found objects. The popularity of this pastime has made the crop art competition one of the Minnesota State Fair's perennial attractions and has spawned a movement among Midwest crafting circles. This exhibit offers a range of hand-made creations from the silly to the sublime, and takes on the history and the ethics of nature and "found object" crafting.
