Pottstown, Pennsylvania — On Sunday, October 24th, at 1:00 p.m., visitors to Pottsgrove Manor will have the opportunity to learn about the Native American presence in early Pennsylvania.

Local Lenni-Lenape historian Darius Puff will present a lecture on Native American travel and trade in Southeastern Pennsylvania, discussing both pre- and post-contact periods. His presentation will include a display of items that were traded among native groups and, later, between the Lenape and European settlers, such as skins, metal goods, and beads. All ages will enjoy this interactive presentation.

This program is being held in conjunction with the museum’s current exhibit, “So Long and Toilsome a Journey: Transportation in Colonial Pennsylvania.” A guided tour of the manor house, including the exhibit, will be offered after the presentation.

A donation of $2 per person is suggested.
