Our annual Native American Festival promises to be the better than ever this year. Come listen to the old stories, see the colorful Native American Regalia, and enjoy the music. This year, we are honored to have the Cherokee educator and native culturist, Diamond Brown, who created the educational field trip program called “Touch the Earth with Native People” that tells the story of the Native American people and its culture from the Native perspective. He is also involved in other educational endeavors. Also, back by popular demand is Jose Rico, the Aztec Fire dancer, who performs his dancing in beautiful regalia, with his headdress adorned with pheasant’s feathers delighting the crowd. Hear the singing by noted artists and the beating of the ceremonial drums. Plan to visit the Native American vendors featuring Native American crafts and food. The hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and free parking is across the street. There is a donation of $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children under 12. Infants are free.
