National Stock Horse Association Snaffle Bit Futurity August 16, 2009

For over 150 years, the California stock horse was the trusted partner of the Spanish Vaquero. These finely trained horses performed the day-to-day chores required on cattle ranches, working the great herds of longhorn cattle driven from Mexico to California. The National Stock Horse Association celebrates the horses and horsepeople who keep the Vaquero traditions alive at the Snaffle Bit Futurity in Paso Robles.
