Celebrate National Relaxation Day with a special Hill House tour focusing on relaxation during the Gilded Age, followed by a relaxation class led by life coach Beth Freschi.
The tour will highlight the many ways the Hill family relaxed with simple pleasures: going to Pleasant Lake on their North Oaks farm, attending concerts, theater and the opera, or just spending a quiet evening in their 36,000 square-foot-home on Summit Avenue. James J. Hill enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, Mary Hill was always knitting and both were avid readers.
After the tour, visitors will gather in the elegant Drawing Room where life coach Beth Freschi will lead a special relaxation class using modern day relaxation techniques to calm the mind and body. The class will begin with deep breathing, followed by a muscle relaxation exercise, guided imagery and meditation. The benefits of using relaxation techniques include improved focus, decreased stress, better sleep, enhanced creativity and a sense of wellbeing.
Previous relaxation classes at the Hill House sold out, so reservations are strongly recommended for this unique event.
