National POW/MIA Day Ceremony September 21, 2012

The Virginia War Memorial will commemorate this day dedicated to honoring those Americans who have been Prisoners of War and those who are still Missing in Action with a reading of the book, "America's White Table."
The book will be read by Ms. Connie Richardson, an original member of the Richmond-based "Write Hanoi" group that was organized during the Vietnam War by Mrs. Phyllis Galanti to bring attention to the plight of her husband Navy pilot Paul Galanti and his fellow Americans who were being held as prisoners in North Vietnam.
Ms. Richardson will be reading the book to the 5th grade students of St. Catherine's School in Richmond in the Memorial's Grand Lobby.
