National Little Dribblers Tournament June 9, 2009

Levelland is home to the National Little Dribblers. The group was formed in 1969 with the purpose to improve the basketball skills of youth in order to improve junior high basketball programs. The results of the program were seen immediately in the schools (more information regarding history of organization at please visit the Little Dribblers, Inc. website below).

Over a four-day span (June 10-13), over 3000 athletes, fans, family members and spectators will be on the South Plains. Levelland will host the Girls 2006 National Tournament.

Little Dribblers basketball awards 18 championships every year in different age groups. Tournament brackets are attached.

Events are held in Levelland area gyms. Hundreds of Hockley County volunteers make this event happen along with a partnership from the Lubbock Sports Authority. Economic impact will be felt in both Lubbock and Levelland, as many attendees will be over-nighting and dining in both.
