National Garden Month is an annual celebration of gardening and its many benefits. It focuses on five themes: education; health and wellness; environmental stewardship; community development; and home gardening.
Celebrated in New York City for the fourth time, National Garden Month highlights the achievements of Gotham's gardeners. From the great public gardens and public parks, to the community gardeners, business improvement districts, neighborhood volunteers, window box gardeners, and greenstreets, New York is awash in a blaze of flowers from spring through fall.
National Garden Month welcomes all New Yorkers to experience spring with an array of gardening activities and events, culminating with the NYC GROWS Garden Festival in Union Square Park the last weekend in April.
