National Bank Celebrates its New Flagship Location with Four Days of Community Fun June 25, 2012

National Bank is bringing courtside excitement to Toronto in celebration of the opening of its new flagship location on the corner of King Street West and York Street. To welcome the local community to the new, inviting branch, the bank is serving up four days of activities kicking off on Monday, June 25th as its doors open.

MONDAY, JUNE 25th
As Canada's Tennis Bank and the presenting sponsor of Roger's Cup for the second consecutive year, the financial institution is bringing its love of the game to the heart of the financial district. Tied to the first day of Wimbledon, the bank will reenact a famous, historical tennis match on a pop-up court set up outside the branch. Performance artists Tibi Tibi Neuspiel and Geoffrey Pugen will don decade-specific wardrobes and rally back and forth, replicating scenes from one of the most captivating matches of the past century - down to each serve, smash and volley.
An enormous eight foot tennis ball canister will be filled with yellow balls on-site, enticing passersby to 'guestimate' how many are inside. Top guesses will receive the chance to grace the 2012 Roger's Cup court, serving to win $1,000,000 during National Bank Day on Thursday, August 9th at the Rexall Centre.
TUESDAY, JUNE 26th
The fun activities continue as the community is invited to cool down at the flagship location with complimentary gelato treats from 3-5PM. Hang in the stunning branch's reception area, made for meeting friends and taking a moment to relax.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 27th
National Bank is rolling out its renowned red carpet service with complimentary lunch, served with a side of big winnings. Beginning at 11:30AM, the bank will distribute 1000 gourmet boxed lunches to its new neighbourhood. Each box will contain a special code that will reveal anywhere from $25 to $1000 when activated at the flagship. First come, first served!

THURSDAY, JUNE 28th
The four-day branch-warming festivities will come to an end with a community-focused open house from 11:30AM-1:30PM. Neighbours, local employees, and those strolling by are invited to take a tour of the branch, enter fun contests and enjoy some delicious snacks.
