On behalf of Nassau County Firefighters Operation Wounded Warriors, I’d like to ask for your support of the 2nd annual “Lone Red Line” fundraiser, which will be held at Mulcahy”s in Wantagh, NY, on September 17th from 6pm till 10pm.
Over 30,000 troops have been wounded in recent conflicts, many of them suffering traumatic brain injuries, amputations, and severe burns. Nassau County Firefighters have come together to provide our wounded warriors and their families with the necessities and support in their difficult times. Again in December, we plan to make our annual trip to Walter Reid Memorial Hospital, Bethesda Naval Hospital, and Wounded Warriors Camp Lejeune barracks, the “Long Red Line”. The “Long Red Line” is a convoy of volunteer fire department vehicles which deliver goods such as televisions, I-pods, care packages, letters, cards, phone cards, gift certificates, etc.
Mulcahy’s is committed to the Nassau County Firefighters O.W.W. and the men and women around the world serving our country. The men and women of our military services are dedicated and willing to sacrifice life and limb to protect our freedom. We provide an ease to the recovery and transition back into civilian life. These wounded warrior families have also made the ultimate sacrifice, providing for their loved ones 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Mulcaheys recognizes and appreciates all of their sacrifices.
During this evening we have the pleasure of live music from FINNS FURY and the NASSAU COUNTY FIREFIGHTERS PIPES AND DRUMS, ALSO RAFFLES,50/50 AND MUCH MORE.So come down and join us in a great evening to help our wounded warriors, and thier families make an easy and successful recovery.
