Nashville Symphony: Olga Kern Returns May 13, 2011

Olga Kern will dazzle at the keyboard when she performs Liszt's virtuosic Totentanz and Dmitri Shostakovich's witty First Piano Concerto. Samuel Barber's breathtaking Medea's Meditation and Dance of Vengeance taps into ancient myth to explore the depths of human vengeance, and the evening opens with a new piece by Israeli-American composer Avner Dorman, whose music is full of freshness and spontaneity.
