WIth Dan Haywood. Naked Objects is a full-stack, open source Java framework for building enterprise apps. The twist is that you do this just by writing the domain objects that sit in the domain model; Naked Objects takes care of the UI and persistence layers for you.
In this session Dan will introduce the core ideas, and show you what a Naked Objects app looks like. Then the discussion will be more audience driven. For example we could choose an application domain together and then code it. Or we could talk about extensibility, customization, testing, prototyping vs deployment.
Dan Haywood is a freelance consultant, writer, trainer, mentor, specializing in domain-driven design, agile development and enterprise architecture on the Java and .NET platforms. He's a well-known advocate of Naked Objects, and was instrumental in the success of the first large-scale Naked Objects systems which now administers state benefits for citizens in Ireland.
The event is free, however the venue requires a list of names in advance so, if you'd like to come along, please register here on upcoming, or by going to the web site.
