Naked July: the Emperor's New Clothes July 17, 2010

What if in the not-so-distant future the United States stopped being united? What if the Mayor of Los Angeles began annexing surrounding states and created a scandal so taboo, professional criminals blushed at the thought? What if a Tailor with fantastical talent dared to answer the age-old question, "Why work so hard to get others naked?" This summer The National Pastime Theater, Chicago's premier theatrical provocateurs, bring this world of "what ifs" to life onstage with 'The Emperor's New Clothes' by Keely Haddad-Null. Headlining the second annual festival 'Naked July: Art Stripped Down' and based on the classic tale by Hans Christian Andersen, 'The Emperor's New Clothes' is no longer a simple children's story.
