In March 2009 the Dave Hassell-Andy Scott Duo undertook an amazing collaboration with Mexican percussionist Evaristo Aguilar and Manchester-based photographer William Ellis. Travelling deep into the jungle-covered mountains of Mexico, the quartet embarked on a journey that would take them to Las Pozas, home to the late English eccentric and Patron of the Arts, Edward James.
Their thoughts and findings, while in the Mexican jungle, are now brilliantly captured on CD and to promote this they are presently undertaking a national tour.
We are extremely delighted that they are able to take time to visit the University to present a thought-provoking performance of music and images and a unique opportunity to witness a masterclass from this amazing quartet.
